The convergence of cultures, social scenes, and people in Istanbul occurs in Golden Horn, Galata Bridge and its surroundings (Karaköy-Eminönü).As the sun ascends, the city comes to life noticeably in this vicinity.
Each day, city ferries and ships, seagulls, fishermen and markets come to life, presenting fantastic scenes of the urban scenery while the sun is rising over this magical city.
We often start our sunrise photo tour in Karaköy. Karaköy is a good starting point for a sunrise tour because when we start our tour at dawn, both the Galata Bridge at the entrance of the Golden Horn and the historical buildings in the surrounding area (such as Hagia Sophia, New Mosque, Süleymaniye Mosque, Beyazıt Tower, Galata Tower) give us the chance to photograph interesting scenes with the first lights of the day reflecting on the city and the city lights which are still illuminating those attractions and the surroundings.
