This 8 hours Istanbul photo tour is suitable for photographers who want to see and photograph the daily routine of locals of Istanbul in multiple districts while also wants to see the historical sites. It is a combination of multiple routes which are mentioned in Half-Day Tour.
You can think of this tour as 2 sessions. Morning and Afternoon. Depending on the participant’s goal and level of expertise in photography, if it is needed or agreed, we can also spare some time in the beginning for theoretical learning such as understanding exposure, camera modes, camera settings, compositional principles and also discuss how to approach photography and share some practical tips on vision and approach.

Before the Photo Tour
A few days prior to the sunrise photography tour you will receive an PDF document which contains detailed instructions such as starting time, durations, locations, spots, subjects and places we will be visiting with sample images and instructions from photographical point of view, to give you a better, more detailed understanding of the tour.
Morning Insights and Skill-Building Session
This is a vital morning gathering at a serene café, delving into essential topics such as:
- different approaches to street photography
- enhancing your confidence in street photography
- discussing ethical and legal considerations
- selecting gear, managing camera settings, and addressing technical challenges
Morning Session: On-Location Street Photography
After our morning brief we will start our on-location street photo tour. We will be working on specific techniques, how to create stronger compositions and how understanding different composition techniques can help us make powerful images and tell our own stories. As we walk and wander I will be checking your images and giving you feedback right on the scene and so you will have chance to apply what you learn quickly and see how your images will improve even with some basic composition techniques.
Lunch Break and Resting
We will pause to have our lunch for 30 minutes for a rest and re-fuel!
Afternoon Session: Further Exploration in Street Photography
Dive deeper into the insights gained in the morning as we explore additional techniques during our afternoon street shooting session. Engage in various challenges and exercises designed to enhance your skills throughout the day.

Equipment Required
Any brand or model of camera is acceptable, whether it’s a compact, mirrorless, DSLR, or film camera. We extend a warm welcome to photographers using film as well. It is preferable to have a lens with a focal length approximately around 28 or 35mm (full-frame equivalent) or about 18 or 24mm (APS-C sensor). In the absence of a prime lens, a zoom lens will suffice.
Family members and accompanying non-photographers
Inform us if you are accompanied by family member or a friend as an accompanying non-photographer during your tour and we will be discussing their participation together with you.
